Our Vision

Remedy was born from the understanding that we must preserve the world’s natural resources, and in doing so, ensure that future generations experience the same quality of life that previous generations have enjoyed.

The natural resources usage within the fashion industry is not sustainable, so we’ve created a completely circular clothing label. We reuse materials for all our clothing which means they’re all made from 100% recycled materials. Oh, did we mention that our clothing is also 100% recyclable too, so there’s no more textile waste when you buy from Remedy!

Because our clothing is made from recycled cotton and recycled polyester and it has many positive impacts; our clothing is produced with a much lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions. However we go further than that, we ensure the use of eco-friendly production processes (dyes, carbon offset) and ship our products in reusable plastic bags!

There are heaps of different terminologies for clothing these days; eco-friendly, environmentally friendly, sustainable...well we’ve made it easier for you. Because our clothes are completely recycled, they are the most eco-friendly option, the most environmentally friendly, the most sustainable!. 

WHERE WE ARE NOW;

Creating a completely circular, earth friendly, clothing label is a complex process so we’re just taking it one step at a time. Our first step is our inaugural release which came out in July 2021.

Six months in the making, this release comprises of 100% recycled fabrics, they’re all your must have Winter staples and were produced from post consumer plastics bottles and pre-consumer recycled cotton.

We’re busy finding more suppliers for our Summer 2021 release so that we can provide you with a larger range of recycled fabrics and recycled clothing for summer.

WHERE WE ARE GOING;

Whilst these are modest first steps, we want you to know that we have big plans for this little business. We understand that whilst making everything from recycled materials is amazing, we can do more. 

We’re determined to provide you with a long term, earth friendly alternative. We hope that by distributing a larger selection of clothing in our upcoming seasons, we can in turn influence our suppliers to produce a greater range of 100% recycled clothing.

We realise that over time, all quality garments fade through exposure to the sun and machine washing. When that happens, we plan to have an environmentally friendly re-dying service available to give your Remedy Clothing a new lease on life.

And when the day finally comes that your Remedy Clothing (or any other clothing) can’t be repaired or repurposed, we want to have a recycling facility available for all your textile waste. We’ll then reuse these materials to create more recycled fabrics or other recycled materials.   

We’re yet to operationalise the re-dying and recycling facilities but our aspirational goal is to have these facilities in place by the end of 2021.
